Ideal Public School & College, also known as Ideal Public High School (its name up to 2002) or Ideal Public Higher Secondary School, is an educational institution in Khuhra established in 2003. Although initially the school was set up to cater for the need of the children of surrounding areas, currently students studying in the school come from all parts of District Khairpur. The school is highly regarded for its strict rules and restrictions, quality education standards, qualified teachers, continuous success and achievements in the public examinations every year. In the SSC Examination of 2008, it became the most successful school in the country in terms of total number of students achieving A Grade in BISE Sukkur Board.In 2009 it also achieved the highest percentage of both 9th and 10th passing rate. Ideal School and College have Six campuses around Sukkur Division in Khuhra, Sukkur, Chak, Faizwah, Garhi Mori and Kandhra.

History

The First Branch of Ideal School's Project was founded on March 18, 2000 at Mori and Faizwah village. Following the inauguration till 2004 it was a junior school. In 2007 the school was converted into a High School at Khuhra. The students from the school participated in Secondary School Certificate Examination (O-level equivalent) for the first time in 2007.

During the first 5 years the school kept its growth as a high school only (3 years of formal education). Following the demand and the requests from the guardians the a college (11th and 12th year of formal education) for the male & female students was added in 2009.

Because of the reputation of the school the admissions tests of this school are highly contested. To make room for more students the administration felt the urge to open a new branch of the school. A project to open a new branch was proposed which was called "Ideal Schools & Colleges Project". On the occasion of the 5th anniversary, in 2008, this initiative was taken. That branch started its activities at Khuwaja Mohalla Khuhra with 70 students. 

Mr. Shafique Ahmed Gilal is the founder & Principal of the institution.
